Here's a couple of 'blasts from the pasts' I came across that are a poignant reminder of the change this country has gone through in the last half century. From where we now seem to be headed, I say bring back those days!
The Camels ad to the left ran from 1946-1952 in major magazines throughout the country. How did RJ Reynolds know that doctors really prefer Camels? Easy, they used to pass out free cartons at medical conventions and then asked the doctors what their favorite smoke was. Brilliant!
The clip below is from "Duck and Cover", a short film commisioned by the Federal Civil Defence Administration and shown to millions of school children in the '50's. Enjoy!
